Hi Al According to 5th Ed Catalogue of Meteorites the Esquel Pallasite main mass did weigh 1500 kg but that is a mistake. It actually weighed closer to 1500 lb. or about 680 kg. In fact there is a reference I mention in A to Z from Meteoritics and Planetary Sciences supporting this weight:
