Hi Jan and list,

D'Orbigny was 4000 $ per gram before Mr. Turone, the owner of the single wonderfully oriented mass put the stone in a concret press and split it in dozens of fragments and then gave or sold a part to naturalia03 (ebay seller) from Uruguay. This person is offering D'Orbigny now week after week on eBay, starting at 1 cent. So the price of D'Orbigny, one of the rarest and most fascinating material droped down to about 100 - 150 $ per g! Yes, it's quite easy to destroy a price...
which is bad for sellers- but good for buyers...

Dear Listoids,

Just wondering:
I got myself a fragment of the D'orbigny (Angrite) and while surfing on
the well known dealers websites i noticed some massive difference in
prices.
For example: One offers a 2,67 gram slice for $667 while another sells a
2,2 gram piece (crusted) for over $11.000!!!
Is the huge difference in price just for the fusion crust?

This is quite a dollar knocker!!

Any comments?

Best,
Jan
