Hi Martin I agree that the shape is perfect to be a Canyon Diablo. But the caliche is way to spotty. When a CD is dug out is either covered in white caliche or scaly rust. There are some that have been sticking out of the ground that show that nice patina but I don't think they have the caliche. I guess it could be a CD that was collected 50 years ago and gently cleaned and oiled by being handled over time?
