Yes, it's very odd. And I don't know about what happens when I try downloading from the Supportex mirror using Firefox, Chrome or any other browser than IE. I like IE9 a lot, and I won't install another browser just to check out this strange issue with (only!) that Supportex mirror (even though I would be interested in the outcome).
