That's intersting. I just realized I may have been misinterpreting these messages. I always took it to mean I should check the file because pkg_add modified it. Not that pkg_add did not update the file because it had been modified locally. Or, could it also mean that pkg_add did update the file, but was able to merge its updates with the local changes without any conflict? Allan
