the cert. as one file. All the questions I have seen answered about
this mention 2 files needed to set up the certificate. What is the
other file I need. We are using mod_ssl 2.1, Apache 1.3.3, and SSLeay
0.9.0b. I know that I am being stupid about this (I should be able to
figure it out but for some reason my mind is blocked...). How do I get
        this cert to work???

The two files you need are the cert file and the key file. You made
the key file when you generated the key, which you used to make the
CSR (cert request) that you sent to Verisign to get your cert. The
cert file is what Verisign just sent you. If you didn't save your key
file (people sometimes make that mistake), your certificate is
useless. Verisign will normally let you revoke it, generate a new key
and CSR and issue you another cert at no charge within 30 days of the
initial one being issued. Call their customer service # if you have
to do that.
