Hi Artur- Inspired by some difficulties I've had implementing and using Alien modules I've made some proposals for updating the Alien manifesto based on some current best practices that aren't spelled out and some other ideas that I believe would be a big improvement to the Alien artform.
I'm working on an update to Alien.pm which would make the most sense if it were an update to the actual Alien module. Would you be willing to support such an update? My hope is that the clarification and more detailed specs will help more Alien::XXX modules to be developed and that they would be more generally useful. I would appreciate your thoughts or other suggestions. I'm hoping to draft an updated Alien manifesto and would like to see some of these ideas migrate into some sort of support within Alien::Base framework. http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.module-authors/2013/07/msg10026.html http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.module-authors/2013/08/msg10059.html http://www.nntp.perl.org/group/perl.module-authors/2013/08/msg10037.html Cheers, Chris
