Mx is deprecated and should (must) no longer be used (surely if you're not 
familiar with it).
(New) source should (must) be in plain .h, .c, etc. files, not in .mx files.

explain MonetDB/octopus usage/feature.

P.S.
My earlier e-mails regarding the octopus documentation was somewhat rushed,
it seems.
The documentation in the man pages are actually for remtoe access and
funnel-multiplex features, which seem entirely different.

While in the code base, Octopus is not yet a released user-ready feature, among 
others because there is no documentation other than scientific publications and 
the code itself.
