Khaled, You are right, the user running apache and the user running mod-mono-server MUST have read/write permissions on the /tmp/mod_mono_server file, ... but these permissions must be set AFTER mod-mono-server has been started!
For instance, to get mod_mono running, you must proceed as following: 1. If /tmp/mod_mono_server already exists, remove it; 2. Start mod-mono-server in background. This causes the file /tmp/mod_mono_server to be created; 3. chmod 777 /tmp/mod_mono_server (or set read/write permissions just for the user running apache and the user running mod-mono-server); That is it! I hope that helps, j3d. > hi, i really need your help. > I am trying to install mod_mono with apache2 on redhat9 > and i have the same message "service not available." > the file /tmp/mod_mono_server has the permission to be read and write from > apache and mod-mono-server user. > what else i can do? > the mod_mono downloaded and installed by red carpet > > _______________________________________________ > Mono-list maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-list > ---------------------------------------- Giuseppe Greco ::agamura:: phone: +41 (0)91 604 67 65 mobile: +41 (0)76 390 60 32 email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] web: www.agamura.com ---------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Mono-list maillist - [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/mono-list
