I don't keep a steady eye on Mosaic, but have seen the "me too's" pop up in the last few weeks. As always, I can put any documents that members are willing to share on the Mosaic Website.
The problem is "knee jerk" reactions without a millisecond of thinking. This is easily solved when one or more of the following occurs: 1. The original post by person includes something like: "please contact me at m...@email.com to request a copy". 2. The original post by person includes something like: "I will send the document to Keith to put on the website". 3. Mosaic members reading the post search to find the person's email and send reply to the person and not the 3000+ members of the list. ***please notice I put responsibility *first* on people preemptively telling members how they will share the resource. All that said, I no longer put the list on moderation when this happens. I just don't have the time an energy to keep threads "in line". Mosaic has its own isolated IP address. When we get the "me toos" ISP providers like Comcast and AOL perk up their ears when they see their servers flooded with email from Mosaic and shut it down because it shows "spam-like behavior" (we probably . So the careless "me toos" can cause members to have email from Mosaic blocked. I tend to look at it like the time I brought a tub of red licorice to a school field trip and the "me too" kids rushed to get a hand full and all licorice sadly went on the dirt. So all members please be careful and resist the knee jerk reaction to hit reply and send. Think for a second on what you're about to do.
