I'm having second thoughts about this gull. It was extremely small when swimming with Ring-billed's last night (1/4 - 1/3rd the size; 2/3rds the length), and it was hard to see to what extent it had a dark cap. Today, lying on the north beach at Calhoun, it is evident that there is only the hint of a darker cap, and while the bill size is within the range of Little Gull, it does tend towards the larger end. I have yet to see its open wings, and have not yet heard from anyone who has. In my mind, this would be the easiest way to distinguish these species. If not a Little Gull, it is a very small Bonaparte's.
