My husband called about a half hour ago to report that he saw two flocks of Sandhill Cranes, 20 and then 30 to 40, flying north to south over the house (central Ramsey). He was down the road a quarter mile or so on his walk, so unfortunately I had no time to run upstairs and look. He said they were flying high, calling, and showed no signs that they were going to come down anywhere nearby. This seems late.
