We saw a Townsend Solitaire at Lake Vadnais this morning. The bird was in the trees along the Vadnais side of the road just before the long line of junipers on the left side of the road past the end of the smaller west lake.
There were still the large numbers of ring-necks but we saw no goldeneye. There was a fairly large flock of hooded mergansers in the smaller west lake. There were 4 trumpeter swans and the usual mallards. We did not see the long-tailed duck. I've posted a few photos of the Solitaire in a public facebook album if anyone is interested in having a look: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2062838&id=1129035564&l=3907792c03 Gail ---- Join or Leave mou-net: http://lists.umn.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=mou-net Archives: http://lists.umn.edu/archives/mou-net.html
