I can do that already with CDEx but that integrates the LAME compression as
well so I can go straight from a PCM Wav file to an MP3 Wav file. The only
slight problem comes with larger AVIs where the file size of the AVI with
uncompressed data goes over 2 Gb rendering the file non-standard and,
therefore, useless.
