Quick disclaimer: I don't know Barb Lickness, I don't live in the same
ward she does, and I'm not running for office, BUT:

We all do dumb things every once in a while. Sending a personal e-mail BY
MISTAKE to a big distribution list is right up there. But perhaps the
pols who have been so quick to pile on Ms. Lickness should search their own
hearts, personal conversations and email boxes to see if they haven't been
guilty of the same kind of "strategizing" in private. I'd be surprised if
anyone who's the slightest bit interested in running for office hasn't had
similar conversations about who might be supportive, who hasn't been in the
past, where the money is going to come from, etc.

At any rate, I suspect that she's berating herself far more effectively
than any of us could. We've all read the e-mail, I think it would be
kinder to lay off the deconstruction.
