Dear Minneapolis Issues List,
I wanted to invite everyone to attend an open house
for Tracy Nordstrom for Parks! this Saturday, October 27, at the St. Mary's
Greek Orthodox Church at 3450 Irving Ave. South on the east side of Lake
Calhoun. The event is from 3 to 5 pm and will highlight "Women Who
Lead." It is being hosted by Vivian Mason, Park Commissioner District 4;
Rochelle Berry-Graves, Park Commissioner At-Large; Sen. Jane Ranum; National
Organization for Women's Beth Anderson; DFL Stonewall Caucus' Megan Thomas; and
Jewish Community Action's Pam Margolis.
The event is free, with ample parking available at
the church. Friends, children, neighbors are welcome to join you.
Refreshments will be available and speakers will address the group every half
hour. It's a great opportunity to meet Tracy and ask her questions about
her vision for the parks (or final fall gardening questions!).
