Who said that "they expect you to ride a bus, maybe 2 or 3 buses"?
Perhaps I have missed it but I can find nothing that suggest the Met
Council or the Legislature expected LRT riders to take a bus or two in
order to use the LRT!  If anything, the planners underestimated the
demand for LRT by people living far outside of the Hiawatha corridor and
therefore did not address this problem.  

When the link to the MegaMall is complete, I suspect that will relieve
some of the parking woes around the existing stations.

That's it-no one wanted to promote that you had to take 2 to 3 buses to
get to the train.  Perhaps they underestimated; but where were they
going to draw the ridership from? I think it was the expectation; and
they simply did not care.  I do not think that parking at the mall, will
relieve any of the parking issues that are for people going to events
downtown.  By no means will it be convenient to park at the mall to go
to the dome or the Target center.
