BREAKING NEWS---

Minneapolis, Mn
August 26, 2004

Dear Friends,

To the best of our ability, we will try to inform you
of an important matter that we have just been informed
about. In order to more fully understand this
happening, please attend the press conference tomorrow
(Friday, August 27th, 2004) at 2:00 p.m. near the
Hubert H. Humphrey Terminal, driving directions can be
found at the end of this email.

Earlier today, the construction company ?Two
Buffaloes? informed Native American leaders Vernon
Bellecourt, Clyde Bellecourt, and Jim Anderson that
Dakota remains were found when construction crews were
digging for the light-rail transit development project
near the Hubert H. Humphrey terminal. Native American
activists have arrived at the scene to protect the
remains, and as we speak, an occupation is being
established and teepees are being set up.

If you would like to know more about this happening,
please come to the press conference that is scheduled
at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, August 27).

Driving directions to press conference location:

Take 35W South, to 494 East

Take 494 East to the 34th Avenue Exit (the Humphrey
Airport Exit)

Go South on 34th Avenue for 2 ? blocks

You should see teepees and people rallying around the
area.

In solidarity,
alondra y fernando
