GetBoB, a Minneapolis nonprofit, nonpartisan civic engagement organization is hosting two forums to help voters understand the relevance and importance of the upcoming city for Library Board, Park and Recreation Board, and the Board of Estimate and Taxation.

This event is open to anyone interested in answering a crucial question—Why are these local positions important to me? The forums will include a brief overview of how Minneapolis city government is structured and will feature panelists representing Minneapolis’s independent boards explaining the relevance of the positions to voters. There will be ample time for audience questions. This forum will be a great opportunity for Minneapolis residents to better understand the city and the importance of the upcoming local elections.

Vivian Mason -- Park & Recreation Board
Wally Swan -- Board of Estimate & Taxation
Colin Hamilton -- Friends of the Minneapolis Public Library
