I'm sorry I missed the MQ version. It's MQ5.2. If it's a AIX box, it's in /usr/mqm/bin.

Grant, Which version of MQ are you running? We're running MQ V5.2 CSD3 on AIX and amqiclen doesn't exist. We had this problem on a Solaris 2.7 box. The strmqm can't start a queue manager and returned AMQ6004. We were told by IBM that AMQ6004 normally indicates an IPC resource problem. A program, amqiclen, comes with MQ can clean up the IPC resources owned by the troubling queue manager. Here is the syntax: /opt/mqm/bin/amqiclen -v -c -m qmgr_name < /var/mqm/mqs.ini -v => verbose -c => check only (does not ipcrm anything) -m => only to clean up named queue manager returns: 0 => OK 2 => One or more connected process(es) >2 => unexpected error Please note that amqiclen is an "undocumented" program. -----Original Message----- From: Wesley Shaw [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, September 26, 2002 11:19 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: AMQ6004: An error occurred during MQSeries initialization or ending. How do you restart the queue manager if this is returned from the strmqm command ?
