Hi,

The latest 2.6.16 kernel from Debian unstable has the cm4040_cs module and
there is an OpenCT driver for it.
With the openct-ifd.so driver included in the openct package, the reader can be
accessed using PC/SC !

These are the steps for Debian:

* aptitude install openct
 => this will also start the openct daemon

* /sbin/cardctl ident
  Socket 0:
    product info: "ACR", "91"
    manfid: 0x0223, 0x0200 ==> remember these values for the following step

  note: the ACR 91 is a Cardman 4040 sold by ACS

* /etc/hotplug/usb/openct.usermap
 add the following line:

               -------------
 openct 0x0003 0x0223 0x0200 0x0000 0x0000 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00
0x00000000
               -------------

* /etc/openct.conf : uncomment reader cm4040 { .. } lines

* openct-tool list should display the following:
 0 CCID Compatible

* /etc/reader.conf.d/openct: uncomment all the lines

* update-reader.conf

* /etc/init.d/pcscd restart

Now all your PC/SC applications can use this reader ("OpenCT 0 0") !

Best regards,

Serge
