mailshot Islamic Institute for Development & Research (IIDR) presents a one-day intensive course… FIQH OF MENSTRUATION The topic of menstruation has long been a taboo in parts of the Muslim community even to this day. Muslim women are unsure about performing their religious duties while in a state of menstruation. This course will develop your understanding of the legal Islamic rulings on menstruation as they pertain to many aspects of your daily lives. The objective of this course is to give you the ability to recognise the issues and to deal with them and will help you answer a wide variety of common questions such as: • Can I touch the Qur'an during menstruation? • Can I enter the Mosque? • I want to perform the Hajj and I'll use pills to delay my cycle as it's my only opportunity to go. I really can't take the risk of bleeding during Hajj. Is this a right choice? • I've missed two months of fasting due to post natal bleeding. What do I do? • I've just had a coil placed inside, and it has changed my regular cycle of 7 days to 13 days. Is this my new cycle? • I am bleeding but it's not red. Can I consider it as menstruation? Additionally, a special seminar will be delivered by a female Muslim gynaecologist about the anatomy and physiology of the female reproductive organ. “Blessed are the women of the Ansar. Shyness did not stand in their way seeking knowledge about their religion.”This is your unique opportunity to overcome your shyness, be clear about the legal Islamic rulings on menstruation and learn in a female only environment.
