Todd Howe , can you describe what you might have been doing when this crash was generated? Was it when the frontend first fired up? Were you moving around the menus? Opening a screen (recordings? videos? schedules?)? Or maybe starting up a video or recording for playback? The log doesn't seem to indicate anything. Thank you! ** No longer affects: mythtv ** Bug watch added: code.mythtv.org/trac/ #10554 http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/10554 ** Also affects: mythtv via http://code.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/10554 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 962981 mythfrontend.real crashed with SIGSEGV in QMutex::lock() -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mythbuntu Bug Team, which is subscribed to mythtv in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/953442 Title: mythfrontend.real crashed with SIGSEGV in QCoreApplication::postEvent() Status in MythTV: Unknown Status in “mythtv” package in Ubuntu: Triaged Bug description: Crashed after changing database configuration password from old value to new value (connecting to 0.25 LAN backend for first time) ProblemType: Crash DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: mythtv-frontend 2:0.25.0~master.20120305.6519666-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-18.29-generic 3.2.9 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-18-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 1.94.1-0ubuntu2 Architecture: amd64 CrashCounter: 1 Date: Mon Mar 12 17:15:13 2012 EcryptfsInUse: Yes ExecutablePath: /usr/bin/mythfrontend.real InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Beta amd64 (20120301) Installed_mythtv_dbg: 0.0 ProcCmdline: /usr/bin/mythfrontend.real --syslog local7 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SegvAnalysis: Segfault happened at: 0x7f3c42e59b04 <_ZN16QCoreApplication9postEventEP7QObjectP6QEventi+36>: mov 0x40(%r15),%rbx PC (0x7f3c42e59b04) ok source "0x40(%r15)" (0x00000040) not located in a known VMA region (needed readable region)! destination "%rbx" ok Stack memory exhausted (SP below stack segment) SegvReason: reading NULL VMA Signal: 11 SourcePackage: mythtv StacktraceTop: QCoreApplication::postEvent(QObject*, QEvent*, int) () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libQtCore.so.4 MythObservable::dispatch(MythEvent const&) () from /usr/lib/libmythbase-0.25.so.0 MythCoreContext::dispatch(MythEvent const&) () from /usr/lib/libmythbase-0.25.so.0 ??
