I want to forward this upstream (since this sounds like something they would handle), but they will want logs from a recent build of 0.27 with the debugging symbols and the issue reproduced. Can you do the following.
1. Enable the 0.27 mythtv updates repo (see http://www.mythbuntu.org/repos ) 2. run updates on the box so you are on a recent version of mythtv 3. ensure that the mythtv-dbg package is installed 4. Reproduce the issue (or wait for it to happen again) 5. Once it happens again, can you run 'ubuntu-bug mythtv-backend'. It will probably try to file a new bug report, which is fine just make sure to post back here the new bug report number. With that info, I can forward it upstream and they can look at it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Mythbuntu Bug Team, which is subscribed to Mythbuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1194222 Title: mythpreviewgen crashed with SIGSEGV in malloc_consolidate() Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV: New Bug description: I was using mythweb on the backend machine to browse "Recorded Programs". Apport-gtk popped up, responding to this segment violation. I don't actually know whata previewgen does and when, so I don't know if my browsing somehow invoked previewgen.
