I upgraded from 16.04 to 18.04 and lirc does not work anymore. systemd shows errors such as "lircd-0.10.0[928]: Error: Cannot glob /sys/class/rc/rc0/input[0-9]*/event[0-9]*" I suppose it is a bug, as lirc should work after upgrade without manual reconfiguration.
