After upgrade from 2.04b to 2,x Stable of Nagios
i have the same problem as usual, after /etc/init.d/nagios stop and then /etc/init.d/nagios start i always have to go to the nagios.cmd file and chmod it to 777 :)

Error: Could not open command file '/usr/local/nagios/var/rw/nagios.cmd' for update!
The permissions on the external command file and/or directory may be incorrect. Read the FAQs on how to setup proper permissions.

for processing.

# ps aux | grep nagios

Maybe this is a stupid question but
it is irritates me
