You must also configure proper notification options for the service and its contacts. Have you done so? Relevant config snippets? Also my experience with this is that state retention trumps initial notifications. For example, if a service was in a hard-down state before restart and was still in a hard-down state after restart, I do not receive a new notification for that service. -- Marc Using Tomcat but need to do more?
