I understand that > the check_snmp command > only checks increasing values when you set the threshold. How can i do > to check decreasing values?? check_snmp checks ranges. It has no concept of increasing or decreasing since it has no idea what the previous value was. >From check_snmp --help -- - Ranges are inclusive and are indicated with colons. When specified as 'min:max' a STATE_OK will be returned if the result is within the indicated range or is equal to the upper or lower bound. A non-OK state will be returned if the result is outside the specified range. - If specified in the order 'max:min' a non-OK state will be returned if the result is within the (inclusive) range. Sooo.. you can see that your warning will be a range from 15 to 11 and critical will be a range from 10 to 0. -- Marc ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by DB2 Express Download DB2 Express C - the FREE version of DB2 express and take control of your XML.
