Hi Marcelo, To monitor a remote host, you need the check_nrpe plugin on the Nagios server (this is built as part of the NRPE package) and on each remote host you need the NRPE server and the plugins.
On a side-note, you also need OpenSSL if you want the channel between Nagios and the remote hosts to be encrypted. Andy Marcelo M.
