Hi! For testing notifications i use the Nagios interface(from browser): click on a host or service and in the right side of the screen you have "Send custom service notification", or "Send custom host notification", depending on what you clicked(service/host). Don't forget to add some characters in the comment field and then Commit.
You're done, notification should arrive in your mailbox. You can also check in the left side menu, almost at the bottom, you have "Notifications". That's some kind of history of Notifications sent. I'm also very new to Nagios(2 weeks), Adi. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Nagios-users mailing list Nagios-users@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/nagios-users ::: Please include Nagios version, plugin version (-v) and OS when reporting any issue. ::: Messages without supporting info will risk being sent to /dev/null
