I think I understand where you stand on the licensing issue, Maggie and, although I agree, I'm not sure what would happen if there weren't licensing. Schools could still operate and continue training. But, since there would be no licensing, they wouldn't have to teach to the test. hmmmm... Licensing may not affect manufacturers and what they chose to design and produce. Doug Schoon could continue to educate using his scientific research and information. Does licensing really promote safety and the informed usage of materials and equipment? Perhaps but we (nail techs) sure see plenty of damage done by licensed individuals. It does make a person stop and weigh the evidence. AND YEAH, why retain some licensing and not others??
