SUPREME COURT OVERTURNS ASBESTOS CLASS ACTION SETTLEMENT

WASHINGTON, DC, June 24, 1999 (ENS) - The United States Supreme Court
Wednesday overturned a court approved $1.535 billion dollar asbestos
settlement agreement. The case, Ortiz v. Fibreboard Corporation, involves a
settlement of an estimated 186,000 potential future asbestos claims against
a single company, the Fibreboard Corporation.
