About 30 People March on Whiteclay for Protest

About 30 people turned out Saturday for the eighth week
of marches on Whiteclay, Neb., from the nearby Pine Ridge Indian
Reservation in Pine Ridge, S.D. The march ended peacefully about 2:40 p.m.,
said a dispatcher with the Nebraska State Patrol.

Last Saturday, about 180 Indian activists marched on
Whiteclay in the continuation of protests against beer sales to Indians and
to call attention to the unsolved deaths of two Indian men two months ago.
About 200 took part in a march last Sunday.
