Stand fast in the Faith

2 Cor 13:4-5 (KJV)
{Jesus Christ}, For though he was crucified through weakness,
yet he liveth by the power of God.
 For we also are weak in him,
 but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.
{5} Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves.
Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you,
except ye be reprobates?

Acts 14:21-22 (KJV)
And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many,
they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,
{22} Confirming the souls of the disciples,
and exhorting them to continue in the faith,
and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Acts 16:4-5 (KJV)
And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep,
that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.
 {5} And so were the churches established in the faith,
and increased in number daily.

Rom 13:11-14 (KJV)
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep:
for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
{12} The night is far spent, the day is at hand:
let us therefore cast off the works of darkness,
and let us put on the armour of light.
 {13} Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness,
not in chambering (Grk=illicit sex) and wantonness, not in strife and envying.
{14} But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ,
and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.

1 Cor 16:13-14 (KJV)
 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith,
quit you{Grk=conduct yourselves} like men, be strong.
{14} Let all your things be done with charity.

Col 1:20-23 (KJV)
And, {Christ}, having made peace through the blood of his cross,
by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him,
 I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
{21} And you, that were sometime alienated
and enemies in your mind by wicked works,
yet now hath he reconciled
{22} In the body of his flesh through death,
to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
{23} If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled,
and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard,
and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven;
 whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Col 2:6-10 (KJV)
As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
{7} Rooted and built up in him,
 and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught,
abounding therein with thanksgiving.
{8} Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit,
after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world,
and not after Christ.
 {9} For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
 {10} And ye are complete in him,
which is the head of all principality and power:

1 Tim 1:4-7 (KJV)
 Neither give heed to fables{Grk=mysterious teachings} and endless genealogies,
 which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
{5} Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart,
and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
{6} From which some having swerved
have turned aside unto vain jangling{Grk=profitless babbling};
{7} Desiring to be teachers of the law;
understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

Titus 1:9-16 (KJV)
Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught,
that he may be able by sound doctrine
both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers{Grk=opposers}.
{10} For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers,
specially they of the circumcision:
{11} Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses,
teaching things which they ought not,
 for filthy lucre's{Grk=shameful profitting's} sake.
{12} One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said,
The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.
 {13} This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply,
 that they may be sound in the faith;
{14} Not giving heed to Jewish fables{Grk=myths},
 and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.
 {15} Unto the pure all things are pure:
 but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure;
 but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
{16} They profess that they know God;
but in works they deny him,
 being abominable, and disobedient,
and unto every good work reprobate{Grk=depraved,ungodly}.
{Titus 2:1} But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:

1 Pet 5:6-11 (KJV)
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God,
 that he may exalt you in due time:
{7} Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
{8} Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,
 seeking whom he may devour:
 {9} Whom resist stedfast in the faith,
knowing that the same afflictions
are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
{10} But the God of all grace,
 who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus,
 after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect,
 stablish, strengthen, settle you.
 {11} To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
