[00:06:24] [8.1mb] this is a composition. slow. ambient. dark. price crash. this from memory: 14 sine waveforms, running at fairly random(picked by me) frequencies. frequency modulated (to various random amounts(picked by me)) by two orbit fractals: the first orbit provides the modulation so you hear different 'notes'. It's iteration speed is around 0.875hrtz, triggered by a clock which just happens to be modulated by a third orbit fractal(with the speed of that modulated by the first). the iterations of the second orbit fractal are very fast - something like 1102 hrtz - and provide each note's timbre - which is continous, that is it's not reset to 0 iterations at each note. Each waveform passes through a lowpass butterworth filter (with resonance modulated by the _fast_ orbit fractal and frequency modulated by a slow LFO) and then through a highpass butterworth filter (resonance and frequency modulated in similiar manner). All the LFO's (24 of 'em for filter cutoff modulation) operate at different (slow) speeds. After the filtering, the sound is amplitude shaped: an envelope triggered by the very same phase trigger which triggers the iteration of the first orbit fractal(providing note/pitch) - and then is also shaped by a 'master' envelope so everything fades out nicely well behaved at the end. The twelve sounds, now sounding like some kind of slightly sinister instrument, are mixed together to form two groups: one for the left channel and one for the right. both left and right channels are fed into two echo modules - with the wet_output of the left channel being fed into the feedback input of the right channel's echo module, and vice versa - and with the delay times of the right and left echos differing. finally the left + right sounds are compressed - threshold of -16db and compression ration of 1:2. this is a composition. slow. ambient. dark. price crash.
