you don't need sudo, unless you system is configured in an unsual way.

Anyway, this restricts the connection to 'ifname "ppp0"', but later you

I would still first try to create a connection using nm-connection-
editor on another host, if only to use the Wizard. You can then re-
create the some settings on the other machine via nmcli.
