Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics (CPT), the flagship journal of the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics (ASCPT) and the premier publication in clinical pharmacology, is inviting submissions for a special themed issue on "Data Science", which is scheduled for publication in April 2020.
The Data Science themed issue will focus on the intersection between novel approaches to the collection, aggregation and analysis of data and clinical pharmacology, drug development, personalized medicine and use of therapeutics. It will be a unique publication that brings together data scientists, clinical pharmacologists, drug developers, regulators and medical practitioners. Examples of topics that are in scope are artificial intelligence, machine learning, real-world data, integration of multi-omics and imaging data in pharmacology models, registry-based cohorts as alternatives to randomized controlled trial design, virtual (in silico) trials, social media to monitor efficacy and safety, electronic health records and "open data". Conventional pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamics (PKPD) and pharmaco-statistical approaches are out of scope for this themed issue. Submissions may be original research articles, reviews, position/white papers or shorter perspectives. Educational, tutorial-style papers will also be considered. Please contact cptedi...@ascpt.org<mailto:cptedi...@ascpt.org> for details about manuscript types and format requirements. To be considered for publication in this high-profile themed issue, manuscripts should be submitted via the online submission and tracking system<http://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=0013c42ZMTlvCanSoHVSGJEO6WlFWslFVPdjWiZhdk5UZiA_SID8V1Csfv4f448UasCWNr-68H6FXtRiiUA3pXATiYD71Y2qlCuMqy1EeqGj45DnpkhO0yL-0Lpl9I8Z8uTqe3U2Zl8bbgNLxaXQOsAXrvTZvKbpxIY4c73fjqbDpmXPThgSfa3n0NzAp4dSccfY8UuRa22Wos=&c=CMk2CY0cq_4xRQ5YL7ssILW6Fora2pyin36cFCJcnM9N_HXlangRwQ==&ch=kYzKHX2XrQXpqdOrZuIo6pnWVQc5oxh9UzZKXeylN9duROi8ILvucA==> by September 20, 2019.
