Whenever i Click on Notepad++ Systray icon, notepad++ comes up but doesnt
get the focus of the cursor. i have to click on the notepad++ in taskbar to
get it maximized. this happens for me since Version 3.8. I use windows XP SP2.

I tried out N++ and it looks nice, but I have the same problem. At times I have
.txt files in UTF-16 with no correct starting mark "??" (FF FE). And I don't
find a way to display them correctly, they all show those NUL marks.
Any ideas/help?

This feature is available in TextFX plugin. Look direct in menu of
in 'plugin->TextFX'

I was about to post that the alt+space combo didn't work and alt+space, c is
what I used to close windows (faster than alt+f4). So I downloaded the newest
verstion to make sure it still doesn't work.
It's been fixed!
This tool rocks.

Khoa,
I don't use IE 7.0 yet, so I am not sure if below would help you.
Anyway, I do programming with this wonderful Notepad++. And I don't have any
Japanese character problems now, after switched to new version of N++ 4.01.
I had problem before with editing a line with mixed characters, something like
"<p>Hello ???</p>". But that problem seems gone now.
Here's what I am doing with my pages (I am sure you have been doing this too,
but to be sure) :
-- 1. put below to all my HTML pages (pages with Japanese characters)
<meta http-equiv='Content-Type' content='text/html; charset=utf-8'>
-- 2. use UTF-8 in N++
(from menu, "Format" -> "Encode in UTF-8", or in "Settings" -> "Preferences"
-> "New Document" tab -> select "UTF-8" in "Encoding" group)
And when I do cut & past from a page encoded other than UTF-8, such as
SHIFT-JIS,
I just copy & paste. There are no problems now. Good luck.

In the 3.9 version the Alt+Space combo didn't worked because it was the combo
for auto-completion. Not the usual functions (like printf, ...) but the
personnal
functions we used in the file.
Maybe they could add the personnal functions with the usual with ctrl+space.

I have been following the NPPTextFXdemo.TXT. But i probably don't know how to
read it...
so here the step by step i'm doing.

Is there a way to toggle the auto-reload file feature using the keyboard? I'm
trying to view log files using N++ and I would like to be able to 'freeze' the
auto load on occasion when I'm checking something.
