Hi,

This is probably a really basic question
already asked many times, but I wasn't able
to find an answer.

How to type an unicode character using its
number? Searching for messages, I found
things like:

"2019
\char"2019
\char{"2019}
\utfchar{"2019}

but I wasn't able to get any of them to
work. (I don't know for sure they actually
should do what I want.)

'texexec --version' says:

TeXExec | version 6.2.0 - 1997-2006 - PRAGMA ADE/POD

Thanks,
Maurício
