Dear all,
I'm sad to send you this email but I have to ask your opinion about
this. The company where I'm spending most of my daily time (Finsiel) has
recently been renamed in Telecom Italia Web Professional Services. As
tomorrow will begin SMAU (http://www.smau.it/), the most important
Italian computer expo, our local sales representatives decided to
aggressively present the new company by playing a demo at the expo. They
created a leaflet (a prerelease version is available here
http://www.ntop.org/leaflet.gif) that contains the following sentence
(translation from Italian, 3rd column, top): "Using RSWntop, the basic
functionality of the product (the product is named RSW) are extended
with detailed network traffic management, traffic bottleneck
identification, intrusion detection".

When I've seen the leaflet I've mailed to my boss and the CEO saying
that:
1. they changed the name of ntop to RSWntop
2. the integrated ntop in a product suite and they are selling ntop
3. they don't plan to release the source code
4. I suggested them to surrender to do this

As I'm not a lawyer, I'm asking you: what's your opinion about this?
Don't you think (as I think) that these guys are violating the ntop GPL
licence?

Any comment is highly appreciated.

Cheers, Luca
