The "install" script was failing for me so I HAD been running ntop out
of the work / make directory. Seemed to work fine, other than this
crazy thread thing!

I messed around and finally got the install to work correctly (not sure
how exactly) and now the nTop GUI shows the correct thread count. NO
clue why it would make a difference, but maybe the install script does
stuff other than just copy files and set perms?

I can not validate these numbers using top, prstat, or gdb. They all
report 8 threads / LWP's / whatever. HOWEVER, nTop is now reporting
7621 active Children. d...@mn thing is spawning children faster than my
daughters Mom's family! I don't have hours to look at the code right
now - if there's anything you want me to try, info, version, etc. just
let me know.

Gary
I have compiled ntop 3.3.9 (not .10) on OpenSolaris (not Solaris) and
everything worked.

Can you please use gdb and see what are those threads doing?
