They will all work across a WAN. The question is whether or not your WAN is up to the task, and that will depend on the volume of logs generated vs. your other traffic, and how reliable your WAN is.
Erik's suggestion is reasonable, but if you have a syslog server at one site already, you should be able to roughly extrapolate traffic based on current rates, and calculate bandwidth consumption from that.
