Or pulled the old Dallas routine.  What's his name gets killed because
he doesn't want to do the show anymore but the network comes back with
an unbelievable offer.  So, he comes back to the show and the view finds
out everything that happened was just a dream.

Or you could pull a Bob Newhart, wake up from a dream on the 1st series
(that had been over for years) and realize the entire 2nd series was a
dream.
