I'm working on a better solution, but the quick fix to your problem is to look in numpy/distutils/command/build_ext.py. There are two lines that reference self.compiler.linker_so[0]; change those 0s to a 1s, so it keeps the ld_so_aix script there when switching the linker. - -- |>|\/|< /------------------------------------------------------------------\ |David M.
