A Clay-colored Sparrow was discovered on the west side of the RMSP
Field 2 picnic area this morning, where it was observed feeding on the
panic grass with a White-throated Sparrow (FOS for us) and Song
Sparrows. Other birds observed included Warbling, Red-eyed, and White-
eyed Vireo's, as well as our FOS Yellow-rumped Warbler. Good numbers
of Northern Flickers and Merlins (always an entertaining mix) were
also moving down the barrier beach.
