Hempstead Lake State Park, April 1 Two Lesser Pterodactyls were observed flying overhead this afternoon. While the ID is not in doubt, experts have been consulted to get the latest definitive scoop on whether these flyers are Reptiles or Dinosaurs. If they agree on the latter (flying dinosaurs are definitely classified as BIRDS), the record will be submitted to NYSARC for addition to the NYS List.
