The breeding plumage CATTLE EGRET is still on the south side of Rt 27 between Amagansett and Montauk (Suffolk Co). Just by a brown sign saying "Eastern boundary of Hither Hills State Park". Seems to be finding an abundance of food in the flood pools so maybe it will linger.
