My wife Betsy and I saw some good birds today. We started off by seeing the
Black-headed Gull at Mecox. We used the Dune Road approach which was
perfect. We then drove about one mile to the Mecox Dairy farm where we saw 5
Cattle Egrets. Next we headed towards Montauk where we saw another Cattle
Egret in the fields of Deep Hollow Ranch. We finished the day with a Northern
Shrike found on the grounds of Third House.
