The marbled godwit was seen west of the Ponquogue Bridge this morning around 9 AM at low tide. It was best seen from the end of Road K, bayside, looking to the northwest. There is a dirt spit with reeds, just west of the big island. The godwit was seen just beyond the dirt spit in the water preening. It was still there at 9:30, when we left. A scope is recommended.
