Jamaica Bay WR: 29 Aug Joe Giunta, Debbie Martin, Cathy Heller and I (Sy Schiff) birded this morning as low tide approached. Birding was slow at the East Pond north end with few shorebirds. As reported the WHITE PELICAN and AMERICAN AVOCET continue.
Other birds of interest were 4 BLUE-WINGED TEAL, 9 NORTHERN SHOVELER, 2 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS and a WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER.
